The Journey

Every great adventure has a map

You're about to do the biggest, bravest, most wonderful thing a person can do. Here's your gentle roadmap — one chapter at a time, so you never have to figure it all out at once.

The short versionPregnancy unfolds in three emotional chapters — the shock of finding out, the "wait, we're really doing this" middle, and the final countdown before you meet your baby. Your feelings will change from chapter to chapter, and that's exactly how it's supposed to go. Pick where you are and start there.
You've got this. Nobody is handed a manual for this — you're building one as you go, and that's the whole adventure. Take a breath. You're already a wonderful parent for showing up and reading this.

Three chapters, one incredible story

Pregnancy isn't one long feeling. It moves in chapters, and each one asks different questions of you. In the beginning you're just catching your breath. In the middle it becomes real, and the choices start. Near the end you're getting ready — nervous, powerful, almost there.

Here's the freeing part: you only need to think about the chapter you're in. Find yourself below and start there. The rest will be waiting when you reach it.

Not sure which chapter you're in? That's okay too. Feelings don't run on a schedule — some days you'll feel all three at once. Start wherever feels true today.

How to use this map

Think of us as the friend who's already been down the trail and just wants you to enjoy the walk. A few gentle promises:

This is your legacy beginning. Years from now, a whole person will exist because of the love and courage you're bringing right now. That's not a small thing — it's the greatest adventure of your life. We're so proud to walk part of it with you.

Frequently asked questions

Is it normal for my feelings about the pregnancy to keep changing?

Completely normal. Pregnancy moves through emotional chapters — shock and disbelief early on, a growing sense of "this is really happening" around the middle, and a mix of nerves and readiness near the end. Feeling excited one hour and terrified the next doesn't mean anything's wrong. It means you care.

Do I have to figure everything out right now?

No. That's the whole point of a roadmap. Each chapter has its own questions, and you only need to think about the ones in front of you. You don't have to solve month nine in month one. Take a breath — you're already a great parent for asking.

Where should I start if I just found out?

Start with Chapter 1, "Holy Crap, We're Pregnant." It covers the very first questions — is the baby healthy, when is the baby due, what should I change today — in plain, reassuring language. You can always come back for the later chapters when you reach them.
